Good vs Evil

March 31, 2026

As our world changes rapidly, so do our internal selves. Even relative to the start of me creating this blog, I can look at some of the views I held even just a few months ago and pick things apart.

I talked about biases multiple times. Without a doubt, I internally held biases about particular topics. Especially as the events of the past few years happened, it's easy to develop opinions or feelings about events based on what we feel is "good" vs "evil" on the surface.

But yet, it is easy to develop an opinion on first impression that may not be the full story.

It does not change the fact that acts can be evil, and they could still be condemned. At the same time, we need to learn to not tar everything and everyone with the same brush, as there are different actors within a group, each with their own motives. Intentionality counts.

Rationally, we think we know what is right and wrong. But really, how do we really feel about certain things.

I think I finally understand now, when my feelings are resolved. If I choose to see things with love and not be judgemental - I realise it is possible to feel compassion and empathy for all people and beings.

We may have frustrations about the world, but in the end, are we acting out our feelings onto particular targets just because they belong to a particular group or worldview?

(Perhaps I am holding these views and thoughts because of my beliefs about what is happening in the world.)

Ultimately, I feel that many people in the world have these pent up feelings simply because they are unable to step back to see the world in a different way to what they have always believed.

If we have love and sympathy, then we forget about the evil and hate, and remember that everyone is just a human. Don't forget that you have free will to help support someone or make their lives better in some way.
