Given that AI companies are publicly releasing models a few months after testing... I wonder what they are already playing with?
Considering that OpenAI has just released Astra (with mixed reviews), and Claude rumoured to have an unreleased model that has cracked an unsolved mathematical problem. Where will we be in 3 months time?
And where were we 3 months ago to get here?
At some point, our reality will catch up with what is happening in the computing world. But when that happens, other dramatic events may take shape - sudden shocks that much of the world could not comprehend. Simply as we have breached a level of intelligence, an impact we wouldn't have seen with the introduction of any of the earlier models.
Yes, there is not much else to say or add. But we will all understand our purpose. Humanity as a blip - however profound, but there is no need to understand its depth but to be in awe. The truths will reveal themselves, gradually but as time accelerates, we will go from actors to watching a movie.
Be ready to say goodbye to everything as you know it - not necessarily in a bad way.
My next prediction: models in the wild that are self improving and can "cross breed". The moment we witness this - we've just about lost "human control" over AI development. Brace for impact.
